Where Does My Help Come From?

In November 2019, we hauled the RV to Destin for a camping trip with friends. Before we left, I started this piece after the inspiration from Psalm 121:1-2 “Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven & earth.”

I wasn’t sure where this piece was going, so I took it with us – even though space in The Behemoth is tight. While on the beach one afternoon, I pulled out this piece. In the midst of the chaos that is mixed media, the cross emerged. I realized this piece was always intended to belong to a woman who’s walked through her own chaos, always confident & secure in the peace she finds in help from the Lord.
